Invisalign are clear aligners that have garnered much popularity over the past decade. As newer developments have come out, more specifically the noticeable clearer versions, they are becoming a firm favourite.

These aligners are much less noticeable compared to the standard braces used to straighten teeth and correct certain dental issues. Of course, there are various limitations for Invisalign; therefore, it is important to determine first whether they will work for you.

Passionate about teeth, our team from the Victoria practice has put together this blog to help you determine whether the Invisalign treatment is the right fit for you.

Dental Issues

Invisalign aligners are a wonderful way of correcting any dental issues you may have by its gentle method of shifting and aligning teeth. Depending on your dental issues, this could take anywhere from 6 to 18 months.

The Invisalign treatment has been tremendously successful for various dental issues, such as overbite, underbite, gaps, crooked teeth and baby teeth. The official Invisalign website presents before and after stories, illustrating what you could expect.

Commitment

You need to be committed to wearing your Invisalign aligners. These aligners differ from traditional braces since they are removable. You will have to take them out when you eat or drink anything other than water.

If the thought of having to remove them every time you drink or eat, then maybe Invisaligns are not for you. They need to be worn at least 22 hours a day in order for the gentle shifting of your teeth to occur. Therefore, commitment is very important!

The Process

Step 1: Book a dentist appointment.

Step 2: Discuss the pros and cons with your dentist.

Step 3: Discuss the cost involved compared to the other alternatives with your dentist.

Step 4: Decide whether Invisalign is right for you and get started!
